ABOUT ESSENZA
This is where my story begins.
And perhaps, where yours does too.
Essenza was not born in a boardroom or from a business plan. It was born from a very personal moment — one that many women know well.
After the birth of my daughter, I decided to give myself one hour a week. Just one. That hour led me to Shiatsu — first as a receiver, then as a student, and eventually as a practitioner. What I found in those sessions was not just relaxation. It was a door into myself: a practice of deep listening that helped me shift beliefs I had carried for years without even questioning them.
That one hour changed everything.
How the tools found me
As I trained in Shiatsu and deepened my understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I discovered auriculotherapy and moxibustion — simple, effective practices that could be used independently, between sessions, as acts of daily self-care.
Around the same time, a chance encounter with a woman who ran a crystal shop in Rome opened another door. I had always been drawn to crystals, but it was in that period — navigating one of the most challenging seasons of my life — that I truly understood their power as a support. Not magic. Not a cure. But a presence. A reminder to slow down, to tune in, to come back to myself.
“I am calm now. And I know that calm is the result of constant, patient work on myself.”
Why Essenza
Over the years, I have seen the same pattern in my clients: they come for a treatment, they feel better, and then life continues — and the space between sessions can feel long.
Essenza was created to bridge that space. To offer the same tools I use in my own practice — ear seeds, crystals, Bian stone — in a form that travels home with you. Not as a replacement for professional care, but as a complement to it. A way to keep the conversation going between you and your body, every day.
Because self-care is not a luxury. It is the small, consistent act of showing up for yourself — even on ordinary days.
An honest note
I believe deeply in these tools. I use them myself. But I also believe — with equal conviction — that no crystal, no ear seed, no ritual can replace the support of other people. Therapists, doctors, trusted friends, professional guidance: these matter too. Knowing when to reach out is not a sign of weakness. It is part of the practice.
Essenza is here to support you. Not to be your only support.
With care,
Gaia
